Belly Girl #17: Mother Earth

The small town of Rocheitte sits on the shore of the Atlantic coast.  This quiet southern town is the home of
one of the largest agricultural corporations in the world.  The Merchnain
Industries has been responsible for many improvements in the farming industry. 
They are also responsible for untold amounts of environmental destruction to
the rainforest and other areas of the world.  The day begins as any other day
for the corporate owned town as the employees of Merchnain come to work.  The
morning calm is shattered as a huge network of giant roots and vines spring
from the ground.  The plants destroy everything in their path.  The vines wrap
around the office building cutting off all exits.  The shocked people that are
trapped inside gather together in the main conference room on the tenth floor. 

As the office manger and C.E.O.
try to calm the people down a thick vine grows straight up outside the window. 
Standing on the top of the vine is a woman.  The woman stands five feet two
inches and weighs and even one hundred pounds.  Her hair is a very dark green
color.  She is wearing a floral pattern one-piece swimsuit with a thin leather
belt worn loosely around her waist.  The most striking thing about the athletic
built woman is the light green color of her exposed skin.  Two vines smash
through the windows of the conference room as the green skinned woman is
brought into the room riding the vines.  "You are accused of countless
atrocities of destruction against Terra Firma.  I Flora have come here to see
that justice is served and the crimes are stopped permanently."  "I don't know
what you are lady but…" starts one of the mangers as a vine snakes out of
Flora's hand and wraps around the man.  He is soon completely covered in vines
and can not move.  "Anyone else wish to pass judgement on me?" 

The group is silent.  In a
secret security post a lone guard hits a distress alert button as the wall of
his post is shattered.  Standing in the hole is a creature that defies nature. 
The huge form is human in shape.  The eight-foot creature appears to be made of
wood.  The security guard gets his broadcast off before the tree creature
smashes his equipment.  The last thing the guard sees before being knocked
unconscious is the potted plant in the corner of his post.

            At the lab/headquarters of the Belly Brigade a
long and busy day is coming to a close.  Tiffany Evans and Laurie Seaburg,
better known to the world as Belly Girl and Balloon Girl have just finished an
intense research project for Dr. Nathan Holstrom.  Areina Hornacku otherwise
knows as Water Lilly, has been over at Nucleolabs
helping out Dr. Heidi Feesal, the alter ego of the Gutt, on one of her
experiments.  Wendi the cyber-sapien called Plasti-girl has been doing some maintenance
on one of the doctor's computer systems as well as advancing her studies of
human kind. 

The girls head for the gym for a
little practice.  After changing into some modified workout clothes the girls
start putting their powers through their paces.  Belly Girl is working on the
control of her Belly Beam.  Tiffany hovers in front of a steel slab and
concentrates.  Her belly expands to twice its size.  Tiffany places her hands
on the sides of her huge belly as a thin beam of energy is released from it. 
The beam carves a line across the steel slab about an inch deep.  By moving her
belly, Tiffany is able to cut a pattern into the steel.  As the star is
finished Belly Girl relaxes.  Tiffany then turns to another slab and releases a
wave of the stored energy.  The wave of energy heats up the slab as it
surrounds it.  The slab becomes cherry red as the energy wave comes to an end. 

Balloon Girl is with Plasti-girl
practicing some of the modified martial arts moves shown to her by Areina. 
Water Lilly is experimenting with a new aspect of her power that she only
recently thought of.  By sheer will Areina fires a bolt of nearly frozen water
at the wall.  A thermometer attached to the wall registers the temperature of
the water.  "Wow, you got the water down to thirty three degrees Areina."  Says
Tiffany wiping the sweat from her face and big belly.  "I don't know why I
never thought about controlling the temperature of the water before." 

The girls head over for a quick
shower and prepare for an evening of study when the monitor alarm goes off. 
The girls head to the communications room where they find Dr. Feesal opening up
a video link.  As the screen warms up a Roxcore Industries logo is
forming on the screen.  Heidi activates the video communication system.  An
image of a helmeted man comes into view.  His face is covered with a mask that
is a cross between a hockey goalie's face shield and a gas mask.  "Belly
Brigade, this is Throwdown.  Gravidia and I just received a distress from a
subsidiary of Roxcore, Merchnain Industries down in Rocheitte.  We need to
finish up on an espionage case here and can't get down there right away."  "Say
no more Throwdown we're on it."  Says Heidi.  "Hey how's Gravidia doing
anyway?"  Asks Tiffany.  "I'm adjusting."  Says Gravidia as she comes to the
screen rubbing her bulging belly. 

The girls get to see the new uniform Dr. Murray is
wearing.  Rachel has on a skintight red spandex body suit that is cut out to
expose her big round belly.  The suit is complemented with a pair of black
gloves and boots.  Rachel has also taken to wearing a mask that covers her
eyes, ears and lower head as it wraps around and connects to the back of the
suit.  Only her mouth, lower face and the top of her head are exposed.  "I'm
really getting into this super hero thing.  Hopefully we can take care of
business here and meet up with your team at Merchnain."  "That would be great.
Good luck on the case, Belly Girl out."  Tiffany shuts down the video link as
the rest of the girls head for the ship.

            As Tiffany pilots the affectionately named
B.B.1 towards Rocheitte, Areina and Wendi view the file given to them by
Throwdown.  He has sent all the information on the case as well as a copy of
the actual video file of the distress call.  "According to the report, the
Merchnain Industries main office is under attack by an unknown superpower that
affects the plant life."  Says Wendi.  As the two girls watch the video, the
girls see the attacking plant creature.  "If I'm not mistaken I'd swear that
creature is an oak tree."  Says Areina pointing at the tree monster.  "The
report indicates that Merchnain is into research for developing new types of
crops and many other items for the agricultural market.  I wonder if this is an
experiment gone horribly wrong?"  Asks Areina to the rest of the girls.  "Well
we'll find out soon enough.  Nearing the Merchnain Industries building."

As Belly Girl brings the B.B.1 in low, the team can see a
big office building that is surrounded by a giant growth of vines.  Balloon
Girl checks the settings on the communications equipment against the codes
given to them by Throwdown.  "Girls I'm getting no response from the
building."  "We may not be able to get a signal through that vegetation."  Says
Plasti-girl as the team prepares to land.  Belly Girl sets the aircraft down in
a small clearing just outside the huge roots.  "Everyone ready?  We need to get
inside there and see what happened."  The girl's power up, bellies swell as the
transformation from ordinary women to the Belly Brigade takes place.

            The girls check out their comm units as they
head out towards the overgrown building.  The girls see the network of roots
and vines that have torn up the area as they sprouted out of the ground and
wrapped around the building.  Belly Girl, Balloon Girl, and Plasti-girl take
off to check the roof for a way into the building.  While Water Lilly and the
Gutt search the ground levels for any way in.  The two team members climb
around the giant plants searching for any signs of life.  Water Lilly spots a
window that is partially visible.  Heidi grabs up the huge vine and starts
eating the plant to open the area up.  After Heidi clears away enough plant
life, Areina uses a very thin line of water to cut out the glass.  Water Lilly
then lets out a wave of water to catch the falling glass from breaking.  The
Gutt and Water Lilly enter the room through the new opening.  A quick search of
the room yields no information. 

The other team members land on the roof.  This is not
covered by the vines.  Belly Girl locates the door that leads to the stair
access.  Balloon Girl checks the door to find it locked.  Plasti-girl points
her finger at the keyhole and releases a blast of air.  The tiny stream of air
drills through the lock.  The girls open the door and head down the stairs. 
"Water Lilly to Belly Girl, the Gutt and I are inside the ground floor.  We
haven't found any signs of life outside the plant."  "Okay proceed to the next
floor.  We have just entered the top floor ourselves and are heading down. 
It's completely deserted here too."

            As Water Lilly and the Gutt proceed in a
search of the lower levels, they are unaware that they are being watched by the
potted plants scattered around the building.  The information is being relayed
to the green skinned Flora.  As she gets the latest update, Flora takes out an
acorn from a small pouch that hangs off her belt.  She squeezes the acorn then
throws it to the floor.  In seconds the seed sprouts and a tree monster quickly
grows.  "Go find your brother and stop those big-bellied trespassers."  The
tree creature lumbers off out of the room and heads out on its mission.  Flora
turns towards the scared crowd of people.  "The Belly Brigade seem to have been
sent to save you but they will fail." 

As Areina and Heidi finish the
quick search of the seventh floor they are greeted by the two tree creatures. 
One swings a thick arm and smacks into the huge belly of Heidi's.  The Gutt is
thrown off her feet.  The other makes a lunge for Water Lilly.  Areina uses a
geyser of water to propel herself over the tree monster.  "I hate it when
things make me mad.  When I get mad I get hungry."  The Gutt dives into the
tree creature sinking her teeth into the trunk of the monster.  Water Lilly
cuts loose with a water blast with no effect.  Water Lilly tries a desperate
move.  Areina concentrates very hard as she draws the moisture out of the tree
creature.  Within seconds Water Lilly has drained the tree leaving it a
withered pile of dry sticks.  Areina's belly is stretched out farther than
usual and she releases the extra water in a large wave and washes away the
remains of the monster.  The Gutt has quickly made a meal out of her tree
monster.

      The three girls find their
way to the tenth floor.  They can hear voices coming from behind a set of doors
at the end of the hall.  Belly Girl takes the lead and smashes her big round
belly through the double doors quickly followed by Balloon Girl and
Plasti-girl.  Flora is startled by the entrance of the Belly Brigade members.  Flora
turns and lets loose with a few clinging vines.  Laurie is quickly caught
before she can inflate and is tied up by the plant.  Wendi and Tiffany are able
to dodge the attack with some aerial acrobatics.  "I don't know who you are or
where you come from but we're here to stop you."  "Why stop me.  I'm here to
save the Earth from their destruction."  Flora summons the outlying vines to
attack Belly Girl from behind.

 Distracted by Flora, Tiffany
doesn't realize that the vines are moving behind her.  Before she can react,
the vines wrap around Belly Girl's arms and legs.  A few wrap around Tiffany's
big belly and pull tight.  Plasti-girl is fighting off an attack of her own
with blasts of air but she too is soon captured.  "You can not defeat nature." 
Laughs Flora.  To Flora's surprise a huge red knife made of energy flies across
the room cutting both Belly Girl and Plasti-girl free. 

Flora turns to see the
big-bellied form of Gravidia standing in the doorway.  Flora lets out a yell of
frustration as she makes a grab for her seed pouch.  Rings of energy form from
Gravidia's bulging belly and surround Flora.  "It's over now Flora.  You will
not win your battle the way you wish."  As the girls free Laurie from her vine
ropes, Throwdown ushers in a group of federal agents.  "It seems that Merchnain
Industries has been operating outside the law and trying to cover it up.  What
a waste of talent and this company could have done so much.  As for you young
lady, we'll have to find a special place to put you."  Throwdown helps Gravidia
lead Flora out of the office.

After securing Flora in the
special transport unit used by the federal agents, the combined efforts of the
two teams is put to cleaning up the giant vines.  The Gutt is happily chewing
away on a large root system.  Plasti-girl and Balloon Girl are using their
abilities to pry loose the vines from the building.  Belly Girl has powered up
her Belly Beam and is burning the plants up.  Water Lilly is putting her body
through the most.  She is draining the moisture out of the huge vines.  She is
constantly stretching her belly and breasts to the maximum.  When in this state
she is quite huge. She sends blasts of water towards the ocean to get rid of
the extra water.  Giant hedge sheers are being projected from Gravidia's big
belly helping to clear the weeds. 

After a few hours of work, the
vines have been cleared away.  "Man I'm glad you two could make it.  I don't
think we could have ever got this mission finished."  "Glad we could make it." 
Areina is sitting down and massaging her swollen belly.  "I don't think I could
take much more of that.  So what's the deal with this Flora chick."  "She
claims to be the result of some of the experimental waste from this company. 
The owners of this company are going to have a lot of explaining to do to the
government not to mention Roxcore."  Good-byes are made and the teams head for
their homes.

A few days later in a special
Roxcore research center, Flora has been contained in the unit for study.  The
corporation is very interested in the mutant's abilities and possible use of
her as a field agent.  Everyday Flora is escorted to and from her room.  She
has very limited contact with any type of plant life.  The doctors fear what
she may do to them if she is given any freedom.  Barrages of tests are
constantly run on her and doctors conduct experiments involving her abilities. 
Flora has a secret that she has been able to hide from the corporate research
team.  As Flora is placed in her room at night she climbs into bed.  Propping
herself up with her pillows she relaxes her abdominal muscles.  As her muscles
relax a bulge forms in her belly just below her belly button.  The bulge swells
to the point that Flora appears to be a few months pregnant.  "Don't worry
little one soon you will be big enough to free us."  Says Flora to her belly as
she massages and caresses her round green bulge.
