Belly Girl #15: Gang of One

            A
major catastrophe has just struck the huge multilevel research building of the
Roxcore Industries. The research that is mainly done at this facility is
investigating alternative energy sources.  An explosion has occurred in one of
the sub-basement levels where Dr. Rachel Murray was studying a crystal
formation that was discovered in the ocean depths.  A few of the wounded
technicians and security has made it to the surface.  The head of security,
Robert Tillson is finalizing action.  "I want a lock down on all levels below
that lab and two levels above."  "Throwdown all personal are cleared and
accounted for except Dr. Murray."  "Damn I told that woman not to mess with
that crystal without the extra safety precautions."  The last security man
helps an injured technician over to the medic station then gives his report. 
"Throwdown you're not going to believe this."  "Harrison you okay?  You look
like you went fifteen rounds with the champ."  "It was the freakiest thing.  I
found the techie crawling out of this office area.  All of a sudden there were
these, I don't know, red energy hands coming out after him.  So I grabbed the
techie and the fists start smashing into me.  They felt like bricks and they
were everywhere.  The tech boy was able to crawl over and open up a maintenance
tunnel.  We climb inside and as I start to close the hatch I see Doc Murray
come around the corner.  Her eyes, man, her eyes were solid red and glowing. 
And the energy fists were coming from her belly." "Her belly…"  "Okay Harrison rest up.  Conner put a call into Holstrom and see if he can get out here to
help."  As the call is put into Dr. Holstrom's lab, Robert Tillson, whose
nickname is Throwdown, prepares a unit of men to enter the locked down floors.

            Throwdown
sets up a mobile base station at the communications stand one floor above the
locked down area.  As the surveillance equipment comes to life, the team starts
scanning for anything.  One of the cameras catches the back of Rachel Murray
walking down a hallway.  "Quick tune to R4 section 12."  The security member
switches cameras to catch the doctor coming down the corridor.  "Oh my Lord
what happened to the doc?"  Throwdown can not believe his eyes as he sees Dr.
Murray coming down the corridor.  The five foot four inch woman with the Irish
red hair has the glowing red eyes as told to the team.  But the one changed
feature that was not fully described was Rachel's belly.  With her lab coat on
nothing looked out of the ordinary from behind.  The front view shows a
different story.  Rachel's blouse is in tatters as her belly sticks out from
it.  Rachel looks to be about seven months pregnant.  Her skirt is long gone. 
Her panties are rolled down by the massive bulge of her belly.  Rachel looks up
at the camera as a fist of red energy surges from her belly and shatters the
camera.

 "What
happened to the doc?"  "I don't know but we need to get in there and find
out."  Throwdown barks orders as the men prepare to enter the lower levels. 
"Remember men that woman is a highly respected member of this company's staff,
not to mention my fiancée.  So only tasers and net guns understood?"  The men
check their gear one last time before entering the lower levels.  A radio
message comes in that Dr. Holstrom is en route and will arrive at the complex
in about ten minutes. 

Aboard the
modified Dragga ship, the Belly Brigade and Dr. Holstrom are sitting in the
control area.  Most of the weapons were scrapped to make room on the ship for
more passengers as well as equipment for the doctor.  Wendi was able to tap
into the alien computer and modify it for human use.  Dr. Holstrom and Wendi
are currently piloting the ship.  On down time the rest of the team has been
learning to pilot the ship. "So what is the emergency?  Its not often we take
off for the other end of the country."  Asks Tiffany in her normal form.  "I
received a call from a company that I have acquaintance with.  It seems that an
experiment went wrong and asked for our help."  "Wow it seems the Belly Brigade
rep sure has gone far."  "No kidding Laurie, I'm sure glad you let me join the
team."  Areina say as she checks the navigation computer.

            The
ship comes in for a landing on the front lawn of the Roxcore complex.  Each
girl powers up.  Laurie puts on her mask and checks her costume.  Tiffany puts
on her sunglasses and gives her belly a quick rub.  Her belly swells up and she
checks the bottom of her costume.  Water Lilly concentrates and swells up with
water.  She adjusts her belt as her belly grows.  Heidi looses her street
clothes as the belly of the Gutt expands out.  Wendi follows the group out. 
The girls and Dr. Holstrom head over to the security unit stationed just inside
the building.  "As far as we can tell by the reports from Throwdown, a staff
member has been exposed an unknown form of energy.  Dr. Murray is quarantined
in the sub-basement area.  Throwdown is down with a unit trying to restrain the
doctor."  "I see well the girls may be able to assist in the retrieval of Dr.
Murray, but what use do you have of me?"  "Well doctor the staff members
respect you and your knowledge of energies."  "I see, so I come into play when
Dr. Murray is found and to see if I can reverse whatever happened to her." 
"You got it doc."

 Dr.
Holstrom asks for all information on hand that is tied to the accident.  He is
also granted access to the computer databases used by the facility.  The Belly
Brigade are ushered to an elevator and taken to the mobile security base.  The
guards stationed at the mobile base are having a heck of a time trying to keep
the surveillance and communications functioning.  "That energy the doc is
giving off is playing hell with the comm system.  I can't raise any of the
extraction teams."  The guard turns and is surprised to be greeted by an eyeful
of Tiffany's big belly.  "Hi we're here to help."  "Uh… oh a yeah help."  The
guard shies away from Belly Girl.  "Don't worry we don't bite.  Well most of us
anyway, we're the Belly Brigade."  The guard relaxes and explains what is going
on.  "So this energy is coming from the belly of Dr. Murray and she is like out
of her mind or something."  States Laurie.  "Yes and a unit of men lead by
Robert Tillson, we call him Throwdown are trying to capture her."  The girls
are granted access to the locked down sections and enter the elevator.

            The
girls decide to break up to search a floor.  This way more area can be covered
faster.  Fortunately their personal comm units work locally, but none can reach
the doctor back on the surface.  The areas are picked.  Plasti-girl and the
Gutt will take the lowest two levels and Water Lilly and Balloon Girl will take
the upper levels.  Belly Girl will take the middle level leaving a level above
and below her to be explored.  The girls enter the elevator and head for their
designated floors. 

Water Lilly
starts to search the floor.  She finds doors broken and rooms destroyed.  She
can't see why the destruction occurred.  She comes around a corner of a hall
when two darts fly past her and hit the wall.  "Stay back!  I'm warning you!" 
She hears.  "It's okay.  I'm here to help.  I'm Water Lilly of the Belly
Brigade."  Areina steps into view to see three of the guards.  One of them is
aiming a taser rifle.  The other two guards are lying on their backs.  One
looks in bad shape.  "What happened here?"  "Found the doc.  We surprised her
and she attacked.  Hit us with all sorts of these energy shapes.  Johnson took
a shaft through his shoulder.  We need to get to the surface but she destroyed
the elevator entrance."  "I'll get you guys up there."  Water Lilly
concentrates as water flows from her body.  Soon the guards and Areina are
floating to the elevator shaft.  Areina swells her body up to massive
proportions and blasts the group up the shaft on a geyser of water.  Areina is
finally able to talk to Dr. Holstrom over the comm unit as the group nears the
ground floor.  A medical team is standing by.  "I want to apologize for
shooting at you.  I saw your silhouette from around the corner and panicked." 
"It's okay; I can see why you would do that."  Areina says caressing her big
round belly. 

Balloon
Girl is quickly moving around her level.  By inflating and bouncing from room
to room finding nothing of interest.  Laurie sees a reddish glow coming from
the next room.  She carefully pears around the corner to see a crystal lying in
the remains of a container.  Finding a small security box and a pair of tongs,
Balloon Girl places the crystal in the box. "I bet the doc could figure the
whole mess out with this."  thinks Laurie heading for the elevator.  When she
gets there Laurie finds the doors of the elevator half-open.  Laurie looks into
the shaft to find the elevator missing.  Laurie decides the best bet is to
bounce up.  Laurie wedges herself as best she can between the doors.  She then
balloons up to spread the doors open.  With a hop into the shaft Balloon Girl
is making her way to the surface with every bounce.  Finally Balloon Girl
bounces out of the shaft and deflates as she lands by Dr. Holstrom.  "Hey doc I
think I found the crystal that started this mess."  She hands the box over to
the doctor.  "This is fantastic Laurie.  It will greatly help in curing Dr.
Murray."  Dr. Holstrom runs to the ship to begin the analysis of the crystal.

            Tiffany's
floor is a mess.  Half of the lights are out.  Wires and ductwork are hanging
from the ceiling.  Most of the walls are pockmarked from tazer darts.  As the
lights in one section of the hallway blink on and off Belly Girl hears
movement.  A masked man jumps from the darkness and fires a large barreled
weapon at Tiffany.  "What the…" Tiffany is snared in a net.  Throwdown steps
out of the shadow as Belly Girl works on trying to free herself.  "Hey you're
not Rachel."  "No I'm Belly Girl.  I've come to help out."  "Sorry for that. 
In this bad light you looked like Rachel."  "We have similar figures as I'm
told."  Throwdown walks over and pulls a knife from his belt.  He grabs the net
and starts to cut Tiffany free.  "I can't believe how fast she can move in her
condition."  "Throwdown, it's amazing what we big bellied babes can do."  "No
doubt about that."  The two head down to the elevator after finishing the
reconnaissance of the floor. 

The Gutt is
down in the power supply room where the experimental generator is kept.  Nothing
is out of sorts as Heidi checks the level out.  Suddenly a call goes over the
comm units.  "Girls I have found Dr. Rachel Murray and I'm engaging her in
battle.  She is able to project a form of tangible energy and shape it at
will."  "Plasti-girl hold on I'm on my way."  Heidi takes a giant leap up and
crashes through the ceiling into the next level.  Belly Girl forces open the
elevator and tells Throwdown to grab on.  Robert barely gets his hands around
Tiffany's bulging belly before being whisked down the shaft.  Belly Girl
locates the floor and kicks the doors in.  Throwdown drops to the floor as
Belly Girl flies in the direction of the fight.

            Belly
Girl enters the large storage room to see the Gutt come tearing through the
wall.  Plasti-girl and Dr. Murray are in the center of the room circling each
other.  A barrage of red energy balls shoot from the big belly of the doctor. 
Wendi counters by swelling her own belly.  The energy balls bounce off the big
bulge of Plasti-girl.  A few of the energy balls however connect with
Plasti-girl's head and upper body.  Wendi is knocked to the floor.  The Gutt
charges towards Rachel smashing crates and turning over shelve units.  Dr.
Murray sees Heidi coming and forms a giant ram out of her tangible energy.  The
ram slams into the Gutt's massive belly.  Heidi is pushed back through the hole
she had made.  The strain of such a feat can be seen on Rachel's face. 

Belly Girl
watches as Dr. Murray comes to her senses.  "What's going on?  What has
happened to me?"  Rachel looks down to see her distended abdomen as a look of
surprise crosses her face.  Rachel feels the bulge that is her belly with both
hands.  Tiffany is caught off guard as Dr. Murray slips back into her
psychosis.  A Giant claw of energy forms around Belly Girl.  Tiffany uses all
her physical strength to keep the claw from clamping around her.  The two women
are at a stalemate as Throwdown works his way around the two.  Tiffany feels
her strength waning as Rachel doubles her effort.  Suddenly Dr. Murray lets out
a small gasp and collapses.  The energy claw disappears as Tiffany sees
Throwdown standing behind the unconscious doctor with his taser rifle lowered. 
"That was tough.  Are you able to get her to the surface Belly Girl?"  "Yes in
fact I can take you along."  Belly Girl picks up the sleeping Dr. Murray and
walks to the elevator.  Throwdown wraps his arms around Tiffany's waist as she
takes off up the shaft.

            The
group is met by Dr. Holstrom and Laurie.  "Quickly Belly Girl get Dr. Murray
into the ship.  I have a special containment capsule set up for her."  Tiffany
rushes inside the ship and places the doctor in the capsule.  "This capsule
will contain her energy until I find a way to reverse the effects." 
Plasti-girl and the Gutt help out with the retrieval of the rest of the
security unit as Dr. Holstrom works feverishly on Dr. Murray's condition. 
After long and frustrating hours Dr. Holstrom has little progress.  "I can not
find any way to reverse the effects of the crystal.  The energy seems to be
permanently bonded to Dr. Murray's nervous system."  "So you mean that she'll
be this way for the rest of her life?"  Tillson asks sinking into despair. 
"Well not quite Robert.  I have been able to develop a dampening field that
will allow her to control the energy until her body adjusts to it.  She will
not suffer from any psychological disruption as before.  But she will remain
physically the same."  Belly Girl and Plasti-girl are in the progress of
helping the semi-conscious Dr Murray in putting on the dampening field
generator.  The generator looks similar to a belly cradle. 

The capsule
is opened as the energy-dampening field is activated.  Soon Rachel comes fully
awake and is shocked as to all that has happened.  "Oh Bobby I'm so sorry for
everything.  I wish I listened to you."  "That's okay honey.  I'm just glad
you're safe."  "Safe, okay?  Look at me!  I look like a whale.  How can you
love this huge belly!"  Cries Rachel rubbing her big belly.  "I have a secret
for you Rach.  I love a woman with a pregnant belly.  I love that belly on
you."  The two hug as the Belly Brigade enters the ship's bay.  "Well Dr Murray if you want, you are welcome to join us."  Says Belly Girl as all the team
stands in a profile stance with their big bellies sticking out proudly. 
"Thanks for the offer, but, right now I like to complete my assignment here.  I
might consider a superhero career later with Throwdown."  "A superhero career,
what are you going to call yourself, Gravidia?"  "Bobby that name is perfect.
Gravidia, I love it."  Good-byes are made as the team takes off for home with
the knowledge of a new set of allies and friends in the war against evil.
